Whoever deals with wood, is familiar with the term ‘sustainability’. The solid wood that is used comes exclusively from sustainably managed forests. This is how they ensure that their livelihoods are maintained for future generations. Valuable resources, such as wood, the raw material in this case, are protected from exploitation. As such, as much wood can be cut down as grows.

Solar power is used to generate their own electricity. Waste wood is used to heat the production shops.

As early as in the design of products, the focus is on durability, creating unique pieces that you want to keep for a lifetime.

Each of Caya’s distinctive end grain tells the individual story of the tree from which it was created. For its production boards are used from the heartwood area of the oak trunk, which have typical features, such as core cracks and wing knots. Before drying they are stored in a special chamber to undergo a smoking process. This gives the wood its uniform dark colour. In conjunction with the white or anthracite frosted glass this creates a classy combination.
