Our flagship store in Truro features one of the country’s finest collections of quality furniture, including displays from two of the most respected luxury furnishing brands: Ercol and Duresta.

Five floors of exquisite design

Our Truro showroom is normally open 9.00am-5pm Monday-Saturday. Also open most Sundays and Bank Holiday Monday’s 11-4pm. We welcome guests to browse our range of traditionally handcrafted upholstery features, along with our more contemporary ranges. We also offer oak cabinets available in bespoke sizes, including painted ranges. Finally, there is a large bed department featuring Hypnos and Vispring beds – and a selection of carpets and curtains, to complete the picture.

Our Truro showroom is home to the largest display of Ekornes Stressless recliners and sofas in the West of England. This is co-ordinated with a range of top-quality modern cabinet furniture, sofas and furniture from Italy and Germany. Interior design advice is available here at Truro, Ellie and Danni would be happy to guide you through the wide choice of ranges and colours available. The top floor now hosts The Loft, a beautifully-created space featuring: Vintage and retro ranges, furniture made from reclaimed wood, luxurious, textured rugs, lamps and accessories.

For over 160 years, the Julian Foye brand has remained dedicated to excellent furniture, delivering the quality you deserve from brands you can trust.

Since the company was founded in 1862, Julian Foye has remained a family-focused business. Edmund Julian, the company’s founder, was born near Bodmin. After Edmund’s passing in 1900, control of the business was passed to Jesse, his second son. As Mayor of Fowey, Jesse’s success in business aided the company’s growth and in 1945 Julian Foye became a limited company.

After Jesse’s death, control of the company passed to manager Gordon Dorrington who eventually invited his son-in-law Mike Ellis to join the firm. Mike led the development of Julian Foye from the 1970s until his retirement in 2004, when his daughter Annette Thomas became Managing Director. In 2017, Annette’s son Robert Thomas joined the company, now in the role of Manager of the Truro branch, along with her daughter Sarah now in the role of Company Secretary, they bring the fourth generation of the family into the business.

Since those humble beginnings, Julian Foye has grown into one of the largest and well-known furnishers in Cornwall, with four unique showrooms across the county and expertly knowledgeable staff – all of whom are proud of Julian Foye’s heritage and history.
